Emilia-Romagna: land of flavour.

Emilia-Romagna is one of the wealthiest and most developed regions in Europe, with the third highest GDP per capita in Italy. It is also a cultural and tourist centre, being the home of the University of Bologna, the oldest university in the world, including Romanesque and Renaissance cities (such as Modena, Parma and Ferrara), being a centre for food and automobile production (home of automotive companies such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Ducati) and having popular coastal resorts such as Rimini and Riccione.

In a nutshell, Bertinoro has many advantages in terms of leisure activities. We can organize wine and food tasting in very pleasant locations, being Bertinoro an important winery area, full of very good canteens and restaurants. We have also organized preliminary arrangements with both the local government and the local tourist guides, to plan lovely excursions around. For instance, you can visit Ravenna which has been the capital of the Wester Roman Empire, of the Ostrogoth Kingdom, it is also famous for being mentioned in Canto V of the “Inferno” by Dante Alighieri, and for being the starting point in a study of Oscar Wilde’s poetry; it is fascinating to visit, with eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There is Rimini with its Roman history and the Adriatic Sea, and its surrounding with San Marino and San Leo which also represent interesting and famous places. On the seaside, and very near to Bertinoro, you also have Cesenatico with its canal port by Leonardo Da Vinci and many famous & good fish restaurants. Of course, Bologna and Ferrara, or Venezia, are other amazing opportunities not far away from Bertinoro.
